Welcome to Summer Camps 2025

OVERVIEW

We can’t wait to meet your children at the Willowell land in Monkton. From questing, to building, to cooking, and even the circus, we have something for everyone this year!

Willowell camps aim to foster a sense of pride and respect for nature in youth of all ages. We are excited to present a diverse listing of Vermont summer day camps lead by kind, skilled, and experienced teachers.

Camps bring children outdoors for safe programming that combines free play, exploring, adventure, getting dirty, and learning from the meadows, wetlands and forests on the magical Willowell property.

We aim to create an environment of respect and community where each voice is heard, and children and camp leaders come together as a community. Our camps are open to families of all socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, and disability.

If your child requires assistance to participate fully in our camps please reach out to schedule a call with us so we can help them succeed.

A few notes before you register:

  • All camps have a three tiered payment option this year: a base rate, the actual cost of running camp, and a pay it forward option. If you need a scholarship beyond our base rate, please apply at this link.

  • THREE CAMP MAX per child: we ask that each child only register for 3 camps until March 1st. After March 1st, if we still have available space, you may register for as many as you’d like.

  • Refund Policy: all tuition is due up front. If a cancellation is made 21 days before the start of camp, tuition minus a $50 processing fee will be reimbursed. Cancellation anytime three weeks (21 days) prior to the first day of camp will be non-refundable. Please note: your place in camp is not secured until we receive full payment.

  • Willowell Camps are held fully outdoors through varying elements. We have small shelters for extreme inclement weather, but children should come prepared to be fully outdoors every day. At the start and end of the day, campers walk up and down a quarter of a mile hill to access our campus in the woods.

  • You will receive a packing list and more details via email two weeks prior to the start of each camp your child is registered for.

 Camp Illness Policy:

Please consider the health of other children when deciding whether or not to bring a possibly ill child to camp. Generally, if your child does not feel well, please do not send your child to camp. In an effort to keep the spread of contagious illnesses to a minimum, it is Willowell's policy that a child who has the following symptoms remain at home until symptoms subside: temperature of 99.9 or higher (must be fever free for 24 hours without medication to return to camp); vomiting, or diarrhea (must wait 24 hours after symptoms subside to return to camp); persistent loose cough; unusual skin rashes; flu type symptoms (muscle aches, headache, sore throat); red eyes with drainage. Camp staff will call parents or guardians and ask them to pick up their child if we observe that:

● The ill child is unable to take part comfortably in regular activities ● The ill child needs care that significantly interferes with the teachers’ ability to provide appropriate care for other children. ● The child has signs or symptoms of a possible serious condition. ● The child has signs or symptoms that indicate a contagious illness or condition or has a diagnosed contagious illness or condition.● If a child is determined to have a fever of 99.9 by oral thermometer. A parent or contact person will be called to pick the child up from Wren’s Nest. A child must be fever free without medication for 24 hours before returning to Willowell programming. ● If a child vomits at camp a parent or contact person will be called to pick up the child. ● It is our policy that a child must wait 24 hours after vomiting or diarrhea symptoms subside to return to the program.

CAMP CANCELLATION POLICY
