Treasure Hunters Camp

OVERVIEW

Have you ever wondered what’s over the next hill? Do you like to explore nooks and crannies in the forest, looking for buried treasure? Join us at Treasure Hunters Camp for a week of exploration and adventure in the Champlain Valley! 

Throughout the week we’ll go on quests in woodlands, wetlands, fields, and by the lake (with a certified lifeguard on staff). We’ll learn orienteering and navigation techniques to find hidden treasures and learn about the natural history of the Champlain Valley. Leaders will teach campers how to use techniques like map & compass, topography, sun angle, and GPS to navigate through the landscape. Along the way we’ll play adventure games using these new skills.

Treasure Hunters Camp will take place fully outdoors. Meeting at the Willowell campus in Monkton, we’ll take our bus to a new site each day around the Addison County region. Some days will be spent in groups exploring Bristol village, while others will be hiking in the shade of local wooded areas. Campers should come prepared with hiking shoes, ready to walk up to 2 miles a day as we quest for buried treasure and uncover the mysteries of Addison County.

 CAMP CANCELLATION POLICY

If a cancellation is made 21 days before the start of camp, tuition minus a $50 processing fee will be reimbursed. Cancellation anytime three weeks (21 days) prior to the first day of camp will be non-refundable. Please note: your place in camp is not secured until we receive full payment.
