Suzanne miller

Suzanne serves on the Willowell board as an at-large member.  

She provides leadership to all Willowell programs, but especially Wren’s Nest Forest Preschool from her more than twenty-five years of experience in alternative education; from farm based education, environmental education, homeschooling, to early childhood education.  She holds a BS in Elementary Education and an MS in Leadership for Sustainability, both from the University of Vermont. 

Suzanne served as Wren’s Nest’s director from 2018-2023. She guided the program as it transitioned from a one-day-a week program to a full time forest preschool.

Her two sons (now in college and off in the world) loved the Willowell summer camps they attended as middle school aged kids. 

Suzanne currently teaches fourth, fifth, and sixth graders at Benson Village School, a small, rural, elementary school in Benson, VT.  She enjoys hiking, swimming in lakes and rivers, gardening, and traveling with her husband in the summertime.
