Farewell 2023
Wrapping up a year of change at Willowell
Here on the land, we have much to celebrate as the holiday season officially kicks off. From a brand new full-time program, Pond Brook, to the continuation of New Roots, Willowell has seen a bustling year out on the land. These programs met today in celebration, performing music, making good food over the campfire, and sharing what made this year so special.
In addition, this year we’ve had two AmeriCorps members join the team, Aidan and Ada, who serve with Walden and Wren’s Nest respectively, bringing their skills and experience to enrich our programs. And, let’s not forget all of Willowell’s hard working staff who keep programs and the behind the scenes stuff running: Ethan, Ian, Casey, Yulia, Greyson, Camie, Matt, Aidan, Sherry, Corinne, Emma, Jessica, Jen, Eric, Addison, and Leanne.
Summer camps spanned almost every week this past summer, with new faces joining. We loved witnessing the wider community in the woods and welcoming back seasoned camp-goers. We hope to see even more next year!
Finally, thank you to each and every community member that stepped up in some way to help us keep offering our programming. From donations, to visiting our harvest festival, to purchasing our new book, or to just getting the word out- we couldn’t do what we do without you. See you in the New Year!
